I played some of the Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and it is quite a bit of fun. It has the addictive looting mechanics kind of like Borderlands and Diablo. I get to level up my character and customize his skills, stats and abilities. The only thing that I did wish was different was that I wish I had an option to have a female character, however it is not a deal breaker for me. I wish I had other people to play with so that I could try out the co-op. In general, it seems to be quite addictive and seems to have the potential to suck many hours from my life (well-spent hours). Have you played it?What do you think of the game?
I just went out to Best Buy and bought the Wii U. And not just the Wii U but the special edition Zelda: Windwaker HD. I have been wanting the Wii U but had not found a definitive reason to get it. But with the special edition being the same price as the regular one I thought why not and it includes the game a couple weeks early. The only reason I am not playing it right now is because the gamepad is charging. I really like the way it looks a lot more then i expected to. It black with gold Zelda themed borders. I think I will really enjoy the game(never played it before…).Lastly, Hiroshi Yamauchi’s death inspired me to go out and but it. A moment of silence for Yamauchi.
Pokemon X and Y comes out in less than a month and even sooner than that is the special Pokemon X and Y 3DS XL system that comes out on Sept. 27th(does not include either of the games). I am definitely getting the game the day of release because I have been playing Pokemon since the beginning and I continue to love every minute of it. Not sure if its nostalgia or my inner child but I just can’t get enough. Are you getting Pokemon X or Y? How about the special edition 3DS XL systems? Please let me know in the comments below.
P.S. Also, what do you all think of the 2DS???
Tokyo Game Show
The Tokyo Game Show is coming up soon and on the attached link is the list of games that will be shown. I am personally most excited for Titanfall because it looks like a very different kind of shooter and very unique but we will just to wait until it releases to see how it really is. What games are you most excited to see at Tokyo Game Show?
Sorry its been a few days since I last wrote been busy with real world stuff =(. But anyways, to the fun stuff! IIn case I have not mentioned it before one of my favorite if not my favorite genre of video games is the platformer. So…I know I am little behind but I just got got Trine 2 and Mark of the Ninja through the awesome Humble Bundle. I have decided that both games are amazing. Mark of the Ninja is unique with its stealth oriented mechanics. Trine 2 looks like it would be a ton of fun to play co-op(although I have not tried….yet). I think these are both games that you should definitely try out and for less than 5 bucks you can get them both plus Fez, FTL and a few others.
PS. I cant wait for Pokemon X and Y!=)
RPGs are considered games where you play along the lines of a certain role and you level up certain stats of your character. It is a genre that has seeped into almost all other genres recently. For example and example of an FPS with RPG elements is borderlands. MMO’s are a kind of RPG. They are Massively Multiplayer Online. These are Guild Wars 2(one of my favorite games of all time), World of Warcraft, Rift and many many others. This genre is very flexible and I believe gives a plyer a sense of customization of their character that makes it their own.
There are different kinds of Strategy games there are tower defense games and RTS games(Real Time Strategy) among others. An example of a tower defense is Plants VS Zombies(which I also love), and Defense Grid. RTS’s are more along the lines of Starcraft and Halo Wars. This kind of genre I personally find more difficult but also a ton of fun because of the challenge they present.
